Ondersteuning Schoolkinderen
Stichting Ziteya ondersteunt al vele jaren een aantal kinderen door het betalen van schoolgeld en door bij aanschaf van schoolspullen. Ruim 10 jaar geleden begon de stichting met, onder andere, de ondersteuning van Melody en Jacob. Zonder steun zouden beiden destijds geen onderwijs hebben kunnen volgen.
De meeste jonge mensen in Zimbabwe stoppen met onderwijs na 4 jaar middelbare school.
Bij ons bezoek, afgelopen jaar, aan het werkgebied in Zimbabwe gaven Jacob en Melody aan graag jaar 5 en 6 van het middelbaar onderwijs te willen volgen. Navraag bij de school leerde dat beiden zeer gemotiveerd zijn om een vervolgstudie na de middelbare school te gaan volgen.
Beide jonge mensen (nu 19 jaar) hebben in hun eigen woorden aangegeven wat hun motivatie is en wat hun plan is voor de toekomst.

As I stand on the crossroad of my educational journey I am honored to share my story.
My journey began years ago in Grade one and has been a remarkable ride. With support of my parents and Stichting Ziteya’s kindness I have been able to pursue my academic goal without worrying about the financial burden. There selflessness has not only paid for my fees and stationary, but has also ignited a fire in me to make a positive impact in the world. I choose to study at Nyakatsapa High School because it is more than just a school, but a community that embodies the values of excellence, integrity and compassion.
The opportunity to attend for form 5 and 6 at this esteemed institution is a dream come true. I am pursuing the Science combination which will enable me to explore wonders of Biology, Chemistry and Maths. My ultimate goal is to become a Medical Doctor.
I offer my sincerest gratitude to Stichting Ziteya. Your kindness has noy only chanced my live but has also helped me to pay it forward. I am proud to be part of the Nyakatsapa community and look forward to the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Melody Chimbadzwa’s Testimonial Letter
When I was in grade 1 my parents were struggling to pay for my school fees and buying stationary. In my 1st term in grade 2, I started receiving school fees and stationary assistance from Stichting Ziteya. This improved both performance and attendance at school because I was not sent back home to collect school fees as before. This was case up to my Grade 7 in 2021.
I worked very hard in my Grade 7 examinations and got favorable results. I was enrolled at Nyakatsapa High School, where I did my form 1 up to form 4. The organization continued to support me by paying two thirds of my fees. This enabled me to complete my ‘O’ Level without any challenges, otherwise I could have dropped out due the lack of fees and got married early. I did very well in my ‘O’ Level examinations.
I am now in form 5, studying Food Science, Biology and Mathematics. My vision is to be a Dietitian and Nutritionist. This could not have been possible without the assistance of Stichting Ziteya. I really appreciate this assistance and support in order for me to realize my dream.
